Each of Stephen’s delicate and beautiful original fine art digital (giclée) photograph is created using the finest archival materials certified by the Wilhelm Institute, the RIT Image Permanence Institute or Aardenburg Imag- ing & Archive, meeting stringent archival standards.
For his color photographs, Stephen uses digital inkjet printers containing eight color Epson K3 Ultrachrome pigmented archival inks.
Currently, for his B&W photographs, Stephen uses the QuadTone RIP and three shades of carbon inks in an Epson digital inkjet printer. Please see B&W Photographs: Carbon on Cotton for a full explanation of his process.
For all his digital photographs, Stephen uses only museum quality 100% cotton rag paper which is acid, lignin, and chlorine free, containing no optical brighteners. Further, when requested, his photographs are mounted and matted with buffered 100% rag museum board.
Additionally, each of his original fine art digital inkjet photographs are treated with an ultraviolet inhibitor to protect the print surface from the environment.
Finally, each original fine art photograph is personally printed in limited edition by the photographer, Stephen Jay Lunsford. The artist signs and numbers the border of the actual photograph underlaying the window matte, as well as the window matte.
